Yea, The Super Bowl Was Great, But What About Those Commercials!?

Yesterday, I had a GREAT time watching the underdogs, the New Orleans Saints, take home their FIRST FRANCHISE WIN in Super Bowl XLIV...

And as always, the commercials during the Super Bowl were quite interesting! It's been reported that advertisers spent up to $3 MILLION in order to have 30 seconds of your time and last night, only a small few caught my attention.

Snickers: Celebrity Sack

Why I loved it: Some how, some way, Snickers made the physical abuse of the elderly look pretty damn funny and harmless. Kudos to the folks that thought of this one. LOL!

Doritos: Child Slap

Why I loved it: This commercial was too cute! I actually show it before the Super Bowl, but boy o boy, when it aired some folks were going off on Twitter like Doritos had coerced the little boy into slapping Dr. King or something. NEWSFLASH: It's not that serious. Besides if someone wants to NOT date a single, black woman with kid(s) because of this commercial then they're an asshole anyway. Moving on.

Cars.com: With Knowledge Comes Confidence

Why I loved it: Simply, I thought this commercial provided a wonderful message for the digital age. Go WaPo (and all the other media entities that own this dot.com)!

Budweiser: The Bridge

Why I loved it: I love to see folks come together for the common good of society and these folks displayed awesome teamwork in the face of a major crisis! LOL! As The Wonder Pets would say, what's gonna work?? TEAMWORK!!

Dodge Charger: Man's Last Stand

Why I loved it: I'm a stressed out working mom with a NEED for SPEED! Why wouldn't I love this commercial? Shame on Dodge for making the assumption that women don't like muscle cars too. Shoot, I'll be damned if I let the men have all the fun.

Bud Light: T-Pain

Why I loved it: Eff what you heard, Auto Tune ain't dead and my goodness, wouldn't Roger Troutman be proud of this one!

And the honors for LEAST FAVORITE commercial go to....

Bridgestone: Free Willy

Why I disliked it: This CORNBALL concept brought about too many questions for me to take it seriously. (Like how the hell did they get their hands on a whale in the first place?!)

Wanna see ALL of the commercials that aired during Super Bowl XLIV? Well, you're in luck because the good folks over at Super Bowl Ads have complied them not to mention YouTube and AdWeek have done a great job as well.

Oh yea, and by the way, did you see that Jay-Z Super Bowl Kick-Off video? Ya gotta love it when hip hop shines in major forums...
